2009 BOTSWANA CONSUMER FAIR FOREWORD DOCUMENT
It has been four years since the Botswana Consumer Fair was launched. Over the years, we have made improvements to the mechanics of the event and we still strive for continuous improvement. Satisfying our stakeholders is the reason why we are in business and this is our recipe for competitiveness especially in this period of the global economic recession.
The fact that this Fair was well sold out before the deadline shows that we are meeting your wants and needs. As a business, we strive to give you tailor-made events that yield returns on your investment.
Of over 400 stalls booked, 20% are foreign exhibitors not only from the SADC region, but also as far afield as Asia. The premise of this event is shopping, hence the event has a healthy diverse mix of retail goods.
This seven day event will see visitors coming in numbers to your stalls. Whether they are children, youth or adults, a customer is valuable, hence we encourage you to give them equal customer service. Fairground Holdings is branded as a place where everyone gets customer service par excellence.
The founding premise of the fair has always been to offer opportunities to consumers to come into direct contact with wholesalers, retailers and service providers. We therefore encourage you to take advantage of the face to face interaction to educate the consumers on product usage, your services and rights.
For your safety and that of your property, we have managed to secure a bigger police manpower than the previous years so as to ensure that you only worry about selling your goods.
The 2009, Botswana Consumer Fair will be fun-filled as there will be a theme park for children, five aside football matches, live entertainment by Botswana artists, competitions, and we have engaged Yarona FM as our official media partners where exhibitors will pay to market their products and services live on air".
The stalls will be judged on the 25th and 26th August 2009 and the prize giving ceremony will be held on Thursday the 27th of August 2009.
